Calibration and Preventative Maintenance Technician, Electronics

This opportunity is located within our Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company business, a global leader of mission-critical hardware and systems solutions including precision energetics systems and innovative explosive solutions.

EBAD seeks a highly driven individual for the position of Calibration and Preventative Maintenance Technician, Electronics. This position is located in Simsbury, CT and will report to the Manager of Material Control
.

• The Calibration and Preventative Maintenance Technician will execute a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical calibration and preventative maintenance tasks in support Electronics production. These activities will span multiple types of equipment supporting both assembly and test equipment. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
• Working with the Production Management team to plan equipment down time to mitigate production stops
• Maintaining/developing system for tracking what is due for calibration and preventative maintenance
• Performing calibration and preventative maintenance tasks on all test lab and production floor equipment
• Coordinating with outside vendors, or through our facilities team, support for more specialized maintenance
• Maintain calibration equipment and develop production support fixturing
• Setup and maintain work cells in accordance with 5S principles

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to follow procedures both written and verbal
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Need to be able to work independently and create their daily schedule
• Proven planning skills

• Some design experience for Test and Measurement
• Electronics Assembly/Test Experience preferred (PCB Assembly, Electro-mechanical Assembly, IPC & J-STD Specification Knowledge)
• Electronics Testing Experience preferred (Meters, Power Supplies, etc.)
• Have worked with test systems in previous employment preferred
