WhatYou’ll Do
As aMechanical
Engineering Intern, you will gain manufacturing experience through working with Engineers, Operations, and Management while completing determined projects and applying education.
You will be part of a dynamic team who ensures the compliance with Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
You will be responsible for working with the operations team on a daily basis to learn and understand how the plant operates.
Other duties will include:
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
- Liveand foster the IPL Corporate Value, and Participate in BEx initiatives and activities
- Workwith the operations team on a daily basis to learn and understand how the plant operates
- Spendtime understanding the business while being mentored by assigned manager and Senior Engineer
- Collaborate with Operations, Management, and Engineering staff to complete given tasks
- Involvement with researching and design of projects
- Present findings/results on projects from internship at the end of the program
- Junior level standing pursuing Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Duration: 10 - 12 weeks
Pay: $24.00 an hour
