* Job Description:

** Microchip Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
** Principal Engineer
** to join our our Quality Team as a key contributor to product quality, process integrity and operational excellence.
** Responsibilities:
*** Act as the main quality liaison with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
* Resolve quality issues, lead corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
* Inspect and verify conformance of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
* Report on quality metrics, non-conformances, and recommend improvements.
* Visit suppliers and customers to assess quality performance and gather feedback.
* Support new supplier onboarding and AS9102 First Article Inspections.
* Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with ISO
9001 and company standards.
* Deliver training to staff and promote a quality-focused culture.
* Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales.
* Maintain technical competence and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
* Perform additional quality engineering tasks as needed.
** Requirements/

Qualifications:

*** Must possess or be able to obtain (at company’s expense) a Secret level clearance.  + US Citizenship is a prerequisite
* Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing.
* Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* Must be familiar with ISO
9001 and AS9100 requirements.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $75,000.00 - $.  Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
