Clohessy Harris & Kaiser, founded in 1987, focuses on providing for the design needs of substantial commercial and institutional clients with the goal of building long lasting business relationships.

We seek a Project Architect / Project Manager with 10+ years of experience in the development of architectural solutions for small to large scale commercial and institutional projects. This full-time position requires a highly motivated individual who can work effectively as either a team leader or a team member in the development of design and documentation for both new construction and renovation projects.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with client interactions/coordination, working and communicating with consultants, managing projects from inception through construction completion and working both collaboratively and independently. The ideal candidate should possess strong design and planning skills, have a thorough understanding of construction documents, be knowledgeable of State of Connecticut Building Codes and have experience with the design of projects within existing buildings.

Requirements:

* Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.

* Either registered or working toward registration in the State of Connecticut.

* Minimum 10 years of professional architecture experience, including design,

documentation and construction administration experience.

* Working knowledge of state and local building codes and accessibility requirements.

* Extensive skills in the use of AutoCAD is required, experience with Revit is a plus.

* Experience with Microsoft Office tools.

* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

* Highly professional demeanor.

* Excellent graphic skills.

* Excellent communication skills, oral and written, including fluency in the English language.

* Available for occasional travel for out-of-state projects.

Physical Requirements:

The position requires occasional work in the field to confirm existing conditions and to observe construction progress. Field work is required in the inspection of construction sites required. Candidate must be able to:

* Climb ladders; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel,

crouch, crawl

* Move safely over uneven terrain or in small spaces

Candidates must have U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
