What you will do
  • Advocate for guest experience by welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest service expectations; focus on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness.
  • Provide in-store and digital services and solutions, driving adoption and guest loyalty while making shopping quick and easy at check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up.
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks; help solve guests  specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and in your area, to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
  • Inform guests about current promos, store activities, events, and the benefits of Target Loyalty programs; assist with sign-up as needed.
  • Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately, complying with safety standards and company best practices.
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
  • Explain and demonstrate features and offerings within the Target App (including Wallet); assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering; guide guests on enrollment and usage.
  • Handle returns following Target policies and procedures, involving immediate Leaders as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders, and returns; comply with applicable laws regarding beverage sales where required.
  • Other duties as needed based on business needs.

  • Willingness to educate guests about products and services and engage them on multiple devices and technologies (e.g., handheld scanners).
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks within established time frames.
Physical and scheduling requirements
  • Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed.
  • Scan, move, and stock merchandise safely; ability to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; frequent lifting is required.
  • Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance.
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift; exposure to varying temperatures and environments depending on duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
