Job Description
The Support Operator is responsible for performing daily tasks and activities that support general Manufacturing Operations in the facility.
Shift: Afternoon
Shift Premium Amount: $1.00
Pay Rate: $19.25
- Operate equipment and systems used to support manufacturing operations such as carton assembly machines, RICO roll movers, dust collection system, scrap cart, etc. Performs simple preventative maintenance activities on equipment as needed (lubrication, cleaning, etc.).
- Regularly replenish departmental supplies to established inventory levels based on usage.
- Assist machine operator in maintaining an orderly work area by staging rolls, removing empty cores, collecting used jaws, etc.
- Perform general housekeeping activities to include sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash.
- May require work to be completed outside of department as directed by department leadership.
- Fill general needs of the business as deemed necessary by leadership.
- Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor.
- Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training.
- Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team.

- Experience with high volume, high speed operations
- Working knowledge of Statistical Process Controls (SPC)
- High School diploma or equivalent; additional related training is preferred
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years within a Manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc)
- SAP skills preferred
- Demonstrated safety commitment
- Positive work history with an ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work both independently and within a team, generating results with general/minimal guidance from management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with professional presentation and negotiation skills.
- As a team member, follow all safety, quality, plant GMP and safe food handling rules
