Position OverviewThe Manufacturing Supervisor will lead their business unit in developing and executing manufacturing processes to achieve shared objectives across the facility. Responsibilities include measuring safety, quality, delivery and cost performance, driving continuous improvement, managing labor, balancing capacity, and developing and leading a diverse team. The role is full‑time, 1st shift, located in Simpsonville, SC.
Responsibilities- Support the organization’s CARE values and produce quality products for customers.
- Execute strategies for safety, quality, delivery and cost initiatives for the business unit.
- Deliver 100% first‑pass yields, 100% on‑time completion, and less than 1.5% warranty claims.
- Demonstrate commitment to all safety programs, safety plans and targeted initiatives.
- Manage the operating budget to meet or exceed financial objectives.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality.
- Interpret and enforce company policies, rules, and safety regulations.
- Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six‑Sigma tools to drive results.
- Other duties as assigned.
- B.S. in Manufacturing, Business or related field; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certification preferred.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a large manufacturing organization.
- Proven track record of building a team, supervising change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements.
- Strong knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles; furniture industry experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, delegation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Communicates across all levels of the organization—including executive team, functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers—and reports directly to the General Manager.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time.
- Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period.
Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required. Other PPE may be required depending on the role. This position expects adherence to all safety rules and use of required PPE, specifically eye and hearing protection at all times on the production floor.
