American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Maintenance Manager for our Simpsonville, SC location.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage Maintenance team; delegate tasks and responsibilities
- Schedule and assign projects as needed
- Schedule and assign preventive maintenance as needed
- Schedule and assign predictive maintenance as needed
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory
- Hold weekly continuous improvement meetings with staff
- Work with outside contractors as needed
- Manage and maintain the maintenance budget, controlling cost to optimize resource allocation to meet financial goals
- Safety: ensure that maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance equipment reliability
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to increase efficiency
- Lead the Preventative Maintenance Program for all machinery, auxiliary and support equipment
- Lead the Predictive Maintenance Program for all machinery, auxiliary and support equipment
- Refine and develop data tracking for downtime, PMs and work order system
- Manage the root cause analysis approach toward troubleshooting with entire staff
- Manage the skills assessment and training needs for direct reports
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules
- B.S. degree in related field or in lieu of experience will be considered
- 7 years previous experience as Maintenance Manager
- Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes
- Plastic Injection Molding experience preferred
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Basic understanding of Lean Principles
