Scope of Responsibilities
The Financial Office coordinator supports the finance department by managing the communications and reconciliation of money available to SCS families through the state ESTF and ECENC programs. This position will also support the finance office team with routine accounting tasks and Accounts Payable activities. This is an in-office position. This is a Full-Time role but open to the potential for a Part-Time candidate.
GeneralResponsibilities/Essential Functions
- Assist the SCS Billing Coordinator in communication and reconciliation of ESTF funds.
- Gain knowledge and understanding of both the state and federal school choice funding programs.
- Learn and become proficient with Blackbaud Accounting, Billing and Financial Aid Software.
- Working with the SCS Senior Staff Accountant, accurately and efficiently enter data for accounting records.
- Process vendor payment and purchase order request, oversee payment approval workflows.
- Maintain workflows and approvals in PEX (credit card system).
- Provide coverage when other finance team members are out of office.
- Assist with special projects from the HR or payroll department.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ; be involved with an evangelical, Protestant church of like faith and practice; and agree with the philosophies, Statement of Faith and Statement of Christian Life Commitment of Southside Christian School. Willing to enroll your eligible children at Southside Christian School.
- Minimum 3 years of business office experience.
- Knowledge of accounting software and automated accounting systems.
- Must be proficient in data entry and computer software including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be experienced and comfortable using Excel.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and work in a team environment.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have integrity in keeping confidential information.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
