Quality Inspector

Job Title:

Quality Inspector 2. Pay rate: $25–$26 per hour.

Location:

Simi Valley, CA (ZIP 93063).

Start Date:

Right away. Shift: 1st Shift, M - F | 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Quality Inspector II Inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance instructions. Identifies moderately difficult quality issues in design, process or other inefficiencies to meet quality requirements.

• Conduct examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards.
• Participate in analysis of statistical data from processes to confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards.
• Perform routine visual inspection of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Participate in preparing all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items.
• Implement and maintain technical quality assurance procedures.
• Identify design, process or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns and issues.
• Perform routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling.
• Conduct internal audits and corrective action follow-ups.
• Inspect wires, sensors such as force sensors, pressure sensors etc. using ring gauges, calipers, torque ranges, micrometers, and other tools.
• Require regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

• Ability to follow detailed job instructions.
• Able to apply a systematic Quality Assurance approach while using existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment.
• Capable of identifying and independently resolving routine issues.
• Experience with blueprints, drawings and parts lists.
• Familiar with the casting, forging, molding, stainless-steel and electronic components use in Aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, as well as Aero Space Standards like AS9100 used on aviation, space and defense organizations.
• Experience with all type of inspection tools like gauges, calipers, height gages, pin and block gages, V-blocks surface inspection tables, micrometers, and comparators.
• Experience in performing internal audits based on established criteria and records the results.
• Experience with interpreting engineering drawings using the language of Geometrical.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Effective oral and written communication.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma/Equivalent and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

  Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field.
