Healthcare Nursing, ICU Nurse
Overview
Step into a high‑impact ICU nursing role in sunny California, where a multi‑week travel assignment is designed to elevate patient outcomes and your professional growth. As an ICU Registered Nurse, you’ll lead critical care on a fast‑paced unit, guiding care plans, coordinating with physicians and therapists, and delivering compassionate support to patients and families during some of their most challenging moments.
The assignment starts on 02/23/2026 and offers weeks of hands‑on practice, exposure to advanced equipment, and a clear pathway to deepen your expertise in critical care. You’ll work alongside seasoned intensivists, respiratory therapists, and bedside clinicians who value evidence‑based practice, continuous learning, and patient‑centered care. Beyond the bedside, this role invites you to broaden your horizons—California’s diverse landscapes, vibrant communities, and a culture of innovation make every shift part of a larger journey toward mastery and impact.
Location Benefits:
Simi Valley offers more than a convenient base for a demanding ICU schedule. It provides a balanced, outdoor‑inspired lifestyle with a mild climate, scenic trails, and access to nearby Los Angeles amenities. You’ll recover between shifts by exploring parks, foothill vantage points, and easy drives to beaches, vineyards, and cultural events. The region’s medical community is robust, with opportunities to collaborate across specialties, attend local conferences, and broaden professional networks.
In addition, our travel program opens doors to working in additional U.S. locations over time, giving you exposure to different patient populations, hospital cultures, and clinical protocols—while you retain a consistent support team, housing options, and a secure framework that respects your schedule and goals.
Your core responsibilities center on delivering critical care to adult ICU patients, including monitoring and interpreting invasive and noninvasive hemodynamic data, ventilator management, continuous renal replacement therapy readiness, sedation and analgesia stewardship, and timely escalation of care. You’ll participate in rapid response activations, manage complex drips (vasopressors, inotropes, analgesia), and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize oxygenation, perfusion, and organ support.
You’ll contribute to evidence‑based care plans, participate in morning rounds, document meticulously in the electronic health record, and communicate clearly with families about prognosis and goals. The role also supports professional development: you can pursue advanced certifications, gain leadership experience as a charge nurse, mentor new staff, and cross‑train in related ICU subspecialties such as neurocritical care or cardiac ICU, depending on unit needs.
We emphasize a growth‑oriented environment where your expertise is valued and expanded over time. Guaranteed hours: 0.0, with hours assigned by the unit schedule.
Benefits include a competitive weekly pay range of $1,881 to $1,915, with a performance and retention bonus structure, plus housing assistance to streamline your transition. We offer extension opportunities that align with your goals and unit demand, giving you the chance to deepen relationships with clinicians and patients while continuing to build your resume. Your travel program provides comprehensive support, including 24/7 assistance during travel and on assignment, safety resources, credentialing help, and a dedicated liaison who understands ICU needs.
Onboarding is designed to be thorough yet welcoming, ensuring you’re prepared for the unit’s specific protocols, equipment, and electronic documentation standards. Note that hours and pay are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
