Parker Meggitt, a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, is a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Simi Valley, CA, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier in select energy markets, particularly in nuclear gas analyzers and nuclear containment vessel penetration cables.

We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and Lockheed Martin, among others.

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager I is responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers within a single manufacturing site or multiple production lines of a larger manufacturing site. Oversees design implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. Develops work assignments and operating plans for staff while ensuring work is completed on time and in compliance with manufacturing compliance standards.

May oversee the development and approval of capital budgets and programs within a single facility. Typically reports to site level engineering or operations leadership.

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager I is responsible for leading a team of manufacturing engineers within a single manufacturing site or multiple production lines of a larger manufacturing site. Oversees design implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment.

• This position has supervisory responsibilities for direct reports and has guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports.
• Manufacturing Process Flow – Oversees the planning and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. Develops and manages a portfolio of project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful completion of projects. Collaborates with cross‑functional leadership teams, including design, quality, and supply chain, in support of manufacturing processes improvement. Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in the manufacturing process.
• Process Improvement – Develops and implements strategies to drive innovation and improve manufacturing processes and technologies. Identifies, recommends and leads improvement plans that impact site‑level operations. May lead cross‑functional teams in process improvement initiatives.
• People Management – Mentors and develops team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles. Provides feedback on individual performance to staff. Ensures staff is trained appropriately to perform assigned work.
• Manufacturing Systems Planning – Optimizes the utilization of manufacturing systems and metrics. Is directly involved in system upgrades and technology selection.
