Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Production Technician II will be to test/assemble Small Unmanned Aerial System products in our manufacturing facility following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system.
Responsibilities- Primary duty is the mechanical assembly of subassemblies using small hand and/or power tools. Some soldering may be required
- Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles
- Testing and troubleshooting of subassemblies and final assemblies
- Coordinates with other Production Technicians and Engineering to correct and improve documents related to the assembly process to maintain the required high quality standard
- Collaborates with manufacturing engineers to improve assembly efficiency, product quality, reduce manufacturing costs, and validate released assembly/fabrication documentation
- Ensures work order protocols are followed and that work order paperwork is completed as work is performed
- May train other technicians to build a product or follow an established assembly process
- May conduct in-process quality checks to ensure items are built to established high quality standards
- Follows established procedures on routine work and may receive instruction on new assignments
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum of 1 – 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test or equivalent
- Experience with hand tools, including crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools and air tools
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is desired
- Ability to solder as part of assembly function and duties
- Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with employees in the company
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Vocational training in Electronics or Solder Certification is preferred
- Lean Manufacturing methodologies is desired
- Familiarity with Safety and ESD practices is desired
- Works with engineering on new product development where documentation and assembly instructions are not yet finalized
- Applies acquired job skills and company policies to complete tasks under minimal supervision
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a team
- Demonstrates initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives

- Frequent use of hand tools with light, minimal force
- Regularly sit for long periods and occasionally stand for short periods
- Frequently lift and/or carry objects of small size between 2 lbs and 5 lbs
- Regularly use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls
- Occasionally walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Specific vision abilities required: close, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
The salary range for this role is $17 - $24.

ITAR RequirementThis position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR or be approved for an export license.
