Executive Director / Director Of Operations / General Manager

The Executive Director is responsible for leading the community’s day‑to‑day operations, including full profit and loss responsibility. They plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of operations, recruit and train team members, and provide direct supervisory responsibility for a high‑performing leadership team across sales, care, hospitality, and resident engagement. The Executive Director fosters an environment of high customer satisfaction, ensures quality‑oriented service, and maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to create a safe working and living environment.

• Lead the development and implementation of sales and operations strategies consistent with company objectives.
• Communicate performance regularly with the Regional Vice President.
• Partner with the Community Sales Director to assess competitive threats, develop sales plans, and engage in business‑to‑business sales calls.
• Understand care regulations and support the resident care program by regularly meeting with the Resident Services Director.
• Develop and implement strategies for labor, occupancy growth, revenue growth, expense control, and quality of services.
• Ensure adherence to the Resident’s Bill of Rights.
• Interview, hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff; manage teams ranging from 65-80 members.
• Assess resident needs to determine appropriate staffing levels.
• Operate the community in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing operational budgets and capital requirements, including forecasting and approving expenses.
• Act as liaison between field operations and the Support Center, building strong relationships with support resources.
• Remain active in local community activities and establish networks for resident referrals.
• Conduct regular reviews of building construction and preventive maintenance, making recommendations as needed.
• Be willing to perform various positions in the community and fill in as required.
• Build and maintain a high‑performing, engaged team.

• Participate in in‑house sales activities, including resident tours and special events.
• Drive company vehicles to community events or other destinations when required.
• Perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related subject.
• Three to five years of operations management experience with a proven record of meeting financial and sales goals.
• Ability to obtain an assisted‑living administrator license within the required timeframe in states that mandate it.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company or personal vehicle per policy.
• Compliance with the company motor vehicle and travel policies.
