As a Medical Assistant
, you will be the face of the front office, registering patients, creating appointments, collecting payments, escorting patients throughout their visit, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone.

Pay Range: $18 to $21 per hour

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma)
  • Current medical‑assistant certificate or emergency medical technician certificate from an accredited teaching school, or proof of transcripts
  • Experience as a medical assistant
  • Must maintain continuing education credits as required by the state of employment
  • Ability to administer medications
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred
  • Graduation from a post‑secondary medical‑assisting education program accredited by a U.S. Department of Education‑recognized agency
  • Current certification from the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or registration from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or the National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), or any recognized certifying body approved by the Board
  • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)
  • Two (2) years’ experience or knowledge in behavioral health
Responsibilities
  • Work with the intake team to ensure patients are seen promptly
  • Observe urine samples for drug screens, perform onsite tests, and package for laboratory confirmation
  • Obtain vital signs and report findings to the nurse when needed
  • Schedule appointments for patients to see the physician and provide lab work and referrals for additional follow‑up care
  • Maintain and update all medical records and documentation pertaining to patients
  • Assist with purchasing and ordering of medical supplies
  • Educate pregnant patients about prenatal care and coordinate outside services as needed with the primary counselor
  • Attend team meetings and complete all required training courses timely
  • Other duties as assigned
