Customer Service Representative – Customer Advocate
Participates in the development and fulfillment of contract requirements. Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules. Interface with key account managers for special customers. Acts as liaison between company and subcontractors to implement fulfillment of contracts as a Customer Advocate. This position reports to the Manager, Customer Service and is located in Simi Valley, CA.
KeyAccountabilities
- Manages customer functions of ensuring contract activities are in compliance with contractual specifications such as quality, quantity, objectives, schedules and manner specified within the contract.
- Communicates changes in customer requirements within established policies and procedures.
- When required, ensure invoices are reviewed and processed in a timely manner so parties are paid in accordance with terms of the contract.
- Responds to request for quotation by preparing and submitting quotes.
- Understanding of Trade Compliance obligations.
- Retrieval and input of customer order information from Internet based portal sites.
- Processes returned materials orders (RMA).
- Review and sign off on Eng Change Orders (ECO) and Specification Changes (Spec) from Engineering and/or Quality.
- Reviews and resolves payment disputes.
- Proactive communications – internally and externally.
- Meet/Exceed customer satisfaction goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5 years minimum experience in a customer service role.
- Previous experience in a Customer Service/Contracts environment preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Navision ERP System or comparable systems – JDE, Oracle or SAP.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Must be a US Person per ITAR Regulations (i.e. US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder).

CompensationExpected Pay: $25 – $36 per hour. Compensation is based on a variety of factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, qualifications, and business considerations.
