MainDuties & Responsibilities
Principal Responsibilities:
To negotiate pricing and delivery for all assigned products and services. Manage outside processing suppliers and component sourcing in a timely manner as the purchasing point of contact for all issues.
Duties:
- Create all assigned purchase orders.
- Track all orders from shipment to the supplier until return and monitor progress of critical or longer lead time orders. Create internal process to report out to team daily.
- Expedite orders with direction from management.
- Measure On Time Delivery – address negative trends with OTD.
- Research additional sources, validate and approve with engineering and quality and develop a sourcing strategy that ensures a primary and secondary supplier for all outside process services.
- Achieve cost savings/productivity and review open issues weekly.
- Be the purchasing point of contact for all issues with Outside Process suppliers.
- Coordinate outside processing shipments and receipts with the Receiving Dept. daily. Notify team of job completion and pick-up availability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
This role is required to be on-site 5 days at the Simi Valley, CA location.
Qualifications
Minimum Education /
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
- 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Computer and system skills: proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required, ERP software preferred.
- Communication and Analytical skills:
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical skills. Presentation skills preferred.
Essential Physical/ Mental Abilities
Required:
Must be able to read, write and speak English; individual is required to sit for long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, stoop, use hands to finger (keyboard), talk and hear. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
CompensationIn compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000.
Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our recruiting team during the interview process.
