Location:
Simi Valley, California, with regional Los Angeles area travel; potential travel nationwide.
This position is exempt, full-time, with full benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and project implementation, and managing projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
OverviewEdgeworth Security is a full-service security firm that specializes in Interactive Video Surveillance, Security System Integration, Executive Protection, and Security Consulting Services. We leverage modern technology and automation to lower theft and crime, improve operations, and proactively prevent crime using artificial intelligence and military‑grade analytics in our Command Center.
Responsibilities- Manage large, complex, and enterprise‑sized projects for Security, CCTV, Card Access, and other specialty systems.
- Oversee project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor planning, and field installation.
- Maintain project documentation such as RFIs, letters of transmittal, permits, change orders, and final closeouts.
- Communicate project progress and financial status, resolving issues with minimal escalation.
- Prepare detailed billings and manage cash flow within scope.
- Recognize and develop change orders; provide in‑house estimating and proposals.
- Identify and manage risks, developing creative solutions.
- Ensure safety protocols are implemented and compliant with company and project requirements.
- Interpret complex construction documents and contracts.
- Update job status and cost to completion weekly.
- Participate in onsite/remote meetings with contract administration, field supervision, and engineering departments.
- Forecast workforce demands and schedule using MS Project.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and legal requirements.
- Follow industry‑standard project management procedures.
- Perform other tasks assigned by Management.
- Report to the Operations Manager.
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED; undergraduate degree preferred.
- CSPM or PMP preferred; certification required within the first 12 months.
- Obtain and retain any product certifications or licenses required by National, State, or Local codes.
- Proficiency with PMI methodology and key knowledge areas:
Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Communications, Risk Management. - 5+ years of industry, security installation, and project management experience.
- Technically inclined, strong written and verbal communication, energetic, self‑motivated, dependable, with job stability.
- Experience in construction or the fire alarm/security industry is a plus.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in confined spaces; general office duties with computer use.
- Ability to travel as required; projects may exist outside assigned geography.
- Understanding of basic design for video, access control, and intrusion systems.
- Well‑versed in system implementation and installation.
- Basic knowledge of network design and infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge of access control fundamentals and door hardware requirements.
