The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute (RRPFI) is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with advancing his legacy and principles – individual liberty, economic opportunity, freedom and democracy, peace through strength, and national pride.
A globally recognized nonpartisan organization based in Simi Valley, CA, with a leadingpolicy institute in Washington, DC, RRPFI delivers impactful public affairs programming, policy convenings and projects of national and international significance, scholarly initiatives, and distinctive educational programming shaping the perspectives of middle, high school, and college students. In addition, RRPFI sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, the largest and most visited presidential library.

With views all the way to the Pacific Ocean and an hour from Los Angeles International Airport, RRPFI’s Simi Valley campus sits on 400 acres atop a hill, serves as the final resting place of America’s 40th President and former First Lady Nancy Reagan, displays a chunk of the Berlin Wall, and houses (among other remarkable displayed hardware) the plane President Reagan flew on as Air Force One to 26 countries.
Also onsite are the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, the Air Force One Pavilion, and the Reagan Leadership Center.

Job Description
The Ronald Reagan Institute in Washington, DC is seeking an intern for the fall 2025 months who can support diverse projects within various program areas. Interns will have the opportunity to work with a small team in a dynamic professional setting while earning college credit as determined by the intern’s university. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
Interns are expected to be agile in their working styles and capable of executing complex projects with efficiency and precision.
We are currently seeking interns to support work in the following capacities/projects:
- Support for the following Reagan Institute centers:
Center for Peace Through Strength, Center for Freedom and Democracy, and the Center for Civics, Education, and Opportunity - Support the Reagan Institute’s Visitor Services program and reception needs
- Administrative and research support for the Reagan National Defense Forum
- Support for the Center on Civility and Democracy as needed
- Provide research and administrative assistance for the Reaganism podcast and Rendezvous with History podcast
- Refine and organize program‑related data with a keen eye for accuracy
- Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks and other responsibilities as assigned
Skills
Desired skills for RRI Interns include:
- Understanding of basic research skills
- Both personnel and policy
- Data organization and analysis
- Including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Airtables
- Ability to draft professional memorandums and communications
- Collaborative spirit and team‑minded orientation
Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years of age or older and provide evidence of full‑time enrollment at a local university
- Have experience working in a professional office environment
- Exemplify adaptability and proactive mindset
- Independently initiate and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Uphold a professional appearance and communication style, both in written and verbal correspondence
