Tessera is seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Driver to safely and efficiently operate combination vehicles with a gross weight of 26,001 pounds or more and towing capacity exceeding 10,000 pounds s role includes operating tractors with flatbed, lowboy, dry van, refrigerated, and heavy haul trailers to transport personnel and products both on public highways and within the military base. The Driver is expected to provide safe, timely, and courteous service while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Typicalduties include but are not limited to:
- Operate heavy vehicles, including tractor/trailer combinations, for personnel and cargo transport.
- Deliver cargo and vehicles, including HAZMAT and oversized loads, ensuring proper load security.
- Perform pre-trip inspections, preventive maintenance, and fueling of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and clear communication with customers.
- Support motor pool operations, including medium truck and bus driving as needed.
- Uphold safety, compliance, and professional appearance at all times.
- High school Diploma/GED is required.
- CDL Class A required, with HAZMAT and passenger endorsement preferred.
- TWIC preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Must possess a valid US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s Identification Card.
- Must have current or be able to obtain Medical Examiners Certificate (DOT Card) before hire.
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
- Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
- Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.

-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military , in accordance with the REAL .
