Location:
Multiple Locations – Silverdale (Bangor), Silverdale (SWFPAC), Bremerton (PSNS), Keyport (NUWC), Port Townsend (NMII).
Type:
Non-Exempt.
Work Schedule:
Full-time.
Compensation: $38.00-$38.00/hr.

- Painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work. Clean roof drains and gutters.
- Replacing electrical receptacles and switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors.
- Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings.
- Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; caulking plumbing kitchen fixtures.
- Communicating directly with the customer and supervisors, informing customers of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
- Responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Ensuring completed work meets quality control standards.
- Using portable handheld electronic devices to manage work.
- Diagnosing issues and suggesting solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.
- Communicating with the scheduler to update repair status and estimate completion dates.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of closely related experience.
- Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.
- Ability to learn a wide variety of building and ground maintenance tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
- Requires reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, and repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
- Work may involve repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and stairs.
- Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
- Valid state driver’s license required and ability to maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ‑compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military , in accordance with the REAL .
- Must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted.
