Overview
Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs. Builds relationships with vendors by directing and checking that merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe’s specifications. Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time). Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
Although the majority of time is spent on activities that do not involve direct customer interaction, the role includes engaging with customers when opportunities arise. This includes understanding customer needs, assisting in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise, listening to and responding to questions, and communicating information regarding stock, special orders, features, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
Responsibilities- Provide customer service in line with Lowe’s policies and programs.
- Build relationships with vendors and ensure merchandise resets meet Lowe’s specifications.
- Collaborate with Merchandising Service team and Manager to communicate project priorities, schedule, and needs (materials, supplies, time).
- Analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
- Engage with customers when opportunities arise and assist with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
- Listen to and respond to customer and employee questions, guiding them through areas of the store and projects as needed.
- Provide information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, features, applications, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
- Move, rotate, and display products and support materials using appropriate equipment per project instructions.
- Identify damaged products, remove them from shelves, and handle as defective; verify buyback items and prepare for shipping.
- Identify and replace damaged or missing signage and collateral; ensure pricing labels are visible and accurate.
- Update way finding and product location signage; maintain digital information across the store.
- Ensure appropriate placement of cross-merchandise, side stack products, and display fixtures to drive add-on sales.
- Stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale; sort products to proper locations.
- Maintain plant-related merchandising per plantogram and ready standards for grand openings.
- Maintain clean and safe stores; complete and document completion details for assigned tasks with photographs when applicable.
- Ensure reset displays are safe and functioning; repair or replace as needed; manage trash and debris; maintain lighting and other maintenance as noted.
- Identify security risks and communicate with management/Asset Protection as needed.
- Adhere to safety requirements relevant to job duties and operate store equipment as needed per role and department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned; maintain POS signage and update pricing labels as needed.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience as applicable.
- 6 months of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
- 6 months of experience with product merchandising, including reading planograms and plantograms, setting up and tearing down displays.
- 3 months of experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
