Job Details:

• Night shifts with every other weekend requirement

• Must work Christmas and New Year holidays

• Patient ratios of 1:3 for standard acuity, 1:4 for low acuity patients

• Work in 56-bed emergency department with additional hall beds bringing capacity tobeds

• Fast track area with 6 beds available

• Separate triage area with 5 beds (travelers can take triage test and may be assigned)

• 18 designated holding beds for inpatients awaiting placement

• Locked psychiatric hall with 6 private treatment rooms

• Handle approximately patients per day

• Common diagnoses include cardiac, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory, abdominal pain, and mental health cases

• Minimum 1 year experience required in larger trauma settings

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS

• Epic EMR system used

• No floating requirements or call/standby requirements

• Any professional colors allowed for scrubs

• 1-day compliance orientation hours) plus 1-day department orientation (12 hours)

• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
