Job SummaryWe seek a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team and work closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will administer therapy treatments as outlined in the plan of care established by a Physical Therapist, ensuring the highest rehabilitation standards are met.
Key Responsibilities- Administer therapy treatments according to the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
- Communicate significant changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide input for modifying and updating treatment goals.
- Participate in discharge planning.
- Educate physicians, patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Document treatment progress and patient information in a timely manner.
- Use therapy devices and equipment for patient care.
- Employ various stretching and massage techniques.
- Sanitize and clean therapy areas and equipment.
- Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, and completing forms.
- Operate standard office equipment.
- Answer phones and direct calls.
- Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports.
- Maintain continuing education requirements to keep a valid Washington State Physical Therapy Assistant license.
- Use personal vehicle for company business (mileage reimbursement provided).
- Effectively monitor and adapt the plan of care.
- Compose progress notes and communicate patient changes.
- Identify when treatment requires a Physical Therapist’s skills.
- Adapt to changes in caseload, scheduling, and staffing.
- Communicate clearly and defend treatment rationale.
- Personalized therapy devices and manual therapy techniques.
- Show initiative in all areas of patient care.
- Uphold high standards of integrity and work quality.
- Understand and apply principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

- Valid Washington State Physical Therapy Assistant License.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
