Responsibilities
- Actively supervise a technical staff comprised of civilians.
- Develop and support processes for efficient and effective execution of products and services and ensure programmed funds are properly obligated and expended.
- Prepare statements of work and government estimates.
- Find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building and seek improvements to business practices.
- Identify training needs of subordinates, initiate on‑job training, recommend formal training necessary, provide coaching and mentoring, and approve Individual Development Plans.
Must be a US Citizen and determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. - Complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel‑related purchases.
- Position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition
Functional Area
and category assigned to the position is required within established category time frames. - Obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- Obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Travel may be required from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisor in the executive branch has a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. Must review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR .
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equal to the GS‑13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
