Back-End Developer II

Job Description

Apex Systems is currently hiring for Back-end Developer II with a global media and entertainment client. This position is within Media Technology and Operations, on a software team that automates workflows, builds easy-to-use toolsets, and solves problems for operations in content flows and media systems.

Remote US (candidate must work EST hours regardless of location)

As a Back-end Developer, your role will include building services, REST APIs, and state‑aware workflows largely in cloud environments. You will collaborate with front‑end developers, Quality Analysts, Business Analysts, and other team members to create cohesive products and improve existing services.

• 5+ years of Python experience (primary language). Additional experience with Node, Rust, or C# is a plus.
• 5+ years of SQL and document database development, including Mongo
  
  DB.
• Experience with workflow engines such as SDVI Rally, Airflow, Step Functions, Argo Workflows, Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with Temporal or comparable code‑as‑workflow engine.

$60–70.86 per hour
