Title – Program Support Client – NOAA Full Time Responsibilities
  • Develop meeting agendas, coordinate meeting logistics, prepare meeting notes and reports and follow‑up on meeting action items for quarterly in‑person or virtual Science Board meetings and weekly video conference calls.
  • Coordinate the flow of information in and out of the OST Directorate, including working with the OST Deputy Director and the Operations, Management, and Information (OMI) Division Director on incoming queries, requests, and tasks, and ensure that such assignments are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Support science Request for Proposals (RFP) processes hosted through OST, maintenance of an internal RFP website, and working with the NOAA Science Board and OST to develop RFP policy.
  • Attend and support meetings, such as the NOAA and Fisheries planning and formulation strategy meetings as well as other planning/scoping meetings and functions as needed.
  • Provide research and analysis support on strategic planning and formulation activities.
  • Assist with developing, drafting and coordinating science baseline narratives and assessments, program plans, spending plans, budgets, and other program planning and documentation as required.
  • Contribute professional expertise and experience concerning the U.S. Government science policy, legislative process, and living marine resource management and conservation to the development of strategic science priorities.
  • Analyze science goals and objectives, requirements analysis, and organizational performance measures/assessments.
  • Coordinate the exchange of scientific research program information activities with the scientific staff at the NOAA Science Centers and their partners, as well as other NOAA Line Offices.
  • Assist in coordinating OST planning and documentation through the Priority Based Resourcing (P ), Base Resource Review (BRR), Activity Plan Prioritization (APP), and similar initiatives/processes.
  • Assist in coordinating OST’s portfolio of the NOAA Electronic Annual Operating Plan (eAOP) quarterly and annual milestones as well as contributions to the NOAA Research and Development Database.
  • Assist in tracking milestones and other performance indicators.
  • Assist with OST’s annual science planning and science quality assurance efforts.
  • Facilitate the development of NOAA science planning priorities across the Science Centers.

  • Draft meeting agendas and accurate meeting notes for quarterly and weekly meetings.
  • Accurate and thorough queries, requests and taskers tracking on a daily basis, or as needed.
  • Draft accurate and thorough science program documents as needed.
  • Complete the office’s entries into the eAOP quarterly.
