This position is ideal for a professional with hands‑on experience in the drywall and commercial construction industry who enjoys managing multiple opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving results.

Position Description

The Business Development & Bid Coordinator is responsible for driving sales growth and managing our pre‑construction pipeline through leadership, relationship management, and brand development. This isn’t just a desk job; the position focuses on being the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring our proposals are seen, understood, and won, engaging with key‑decision makers, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve strategic sales goals while building lasting relationships with General Contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Actively identify and pursue new bidding opportunities; maintain and expand relationships with existing GC partners.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the lead communicator for all project inquiries. You must be able to translate technical drywall scopes into clear, professional dialogue, and generate Bid RFIs.
  • Site Visits & Walkthroughs: Attend on‑site pre‑bid meetings to assess project conditions, take notes, and represent the company’s interests.
  • Proposal Management: Draft and refine professional proposals. You will ensure every bid is polished, accurate, and highlights our competitive edge.
  • Bid Tracking & CRM: Maintain a meticulous Bid Log
. You will be responsible for tracking the status of every “live” quote and providing weekly reports on win/loss ratios.
  • The “Fortune in the Follow‑Up”: Conduct persistent, professional follow‑ups on submitted proposals to gather feedback and close deals.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in the drywall construction industry (drywall, framing, or acoustical ceilings preferred, Painting and Trim Carpentry).
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional writing skills for professional emails/proposals and a confident “people person” persona for site visits.
  • Organizational DNA: A natural ability to juggle multiple deadlines without letting a single bid slip through the cracks.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is a must) and experience with bid management and estimating software.
  • Experience in drywall bidding, estimating support, or business development role.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and requirements.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when preparing proposals and tracking bid data.
  • Professional demeanor and confidence when communicating with General Contractors and clients.
  • Strong time‑management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines, and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline‑driven environment.
