General PurposeThis position provides a visible presence at the store entrances and exits, mitigating theft and fraud and maintaining a safe and secure environment for associates and customers. The specialist greets all customers, deters theft by demonstrating command presence in company‑issued vest and black attire, and monitors the Code 50 package inspection policy.
Essential Functions- Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment – Practices safe behaviors, provides a visible command presence, and removes clutter to ensure safe egress.
- Developing Great Teams & Partnerships – Provides excellent customer service, treats all with respect, and recognizes associates.
- Personal and Store Brand – Represents and supports the company brand while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Mitigating Theft & Fraud – Monitors entrances and sales floor, gathers theft indicators, and communicates to leadership.
- Minimizing Operational Shortage – Trains associates on loss prevention initiatives and validates proper checkout procedures.

- High school education or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
- One year of retail supervisor experience or similar preferred.
- One year of loss prevention/security training preferred.
- Active Security Guard license preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with the store team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proven conflict resolution ability.
- Compliance with all applicable federal and state laws for security positions.
- Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
- Ability to spend up to 100 % of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
- Ability to lift, raise, or lower objects greater than 25 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, or crouch regularly.
- Other assignments may require additional qualifications and skills.

Base pay ranges from $18.15 to $18.65 per hour, with additional rewards and benefits that vary by position and location.
