This position offers a pay range of $20.00 - $22.00 per hour based on skills and experience. It is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime. • Ensure that the attainment of Victory Housing (VHI) mission takes precedence over all decisions and actions.
• Implement all VHI policies and procedures, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations to meet/exceed food safety and industry standards.
• Prepare meals according to planned/dietitian-certified menus, including special dietary requirements, following recipes, nutritional guidelines, and HACCP plans.
• Follow resident dietary restrictions, serve food at correct temperatures, and ensure proper portion control.
• Plate meals appealingly, utilizing garnishes, and meeting VHI standards.
• Prepare for the next day’s meals as instructed and participate in special events.
• Support the psycho-social needs of Residents through food services, including nutritious snacks and scheduled activities.
• Maintain inventory, report needs weekly, and assist with deliveries and storage.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment, cleaning and sanitizing during and after meal prep.
• Maintain all kitchen equipment and ensure weekly cleaning of grease traps and ice machines, recording activities per WSSC guidelines.
• Wash cookware, utensils, and dishes properly, and store them appropriately, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for next use.
• Perform other duties as assigned, aiming for high Resident and Family satisfaction.
• Know fire safety procedures and assist in Resident evacuation if needed.
• Maintain required food safety certifications, including Serv Safe and food service license.
• Attend all required meetings and training sessions.

Must be current on all vaccinations, including COVID-19, with CDC recommended booster doses.
