koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist Records Management to support KITS and our government customer in Silver Spring, MD. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

koniag IT Systems is seeking an experienced Records Management Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the quality and accuracy of our client’s records management operations. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality assurance procedures, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain procedures for adhering to performance metrics and SOPs
  • Create and update workflow diagrams to identify quality control checkpoints
  • Identify quality issues and recommend solutions to improve processes and outcomes
  • Submit quality control reports, verifying the accuracy of data entry activities
  • Inspect worksites to ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards
  • Proofread documentation and graphics for accuracy and adherence to original content
  • Provide quality control checking for documents received from copying and word processing
  • Work with limited supervision and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements

Education:

  • High school education
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance and control

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of quality assurance principles and best practices
  • Ability to establish and maintain quality assurance procedures and performance metrics
  • Experience in creating and updating workflow diagrams and process documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Desired Skills and

Competencies:

  • Professional certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or Quality Processes and Systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Experience in a records management or document management environment
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., NARA, ARMA)
  • Familiarity with electronic document management systems (EDMS) and records management software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to process optimization
