Position: RN - Radiation Oncology (Sign- On Bonus)

The general pay scale for this position is $65,877–$115,068 per year. The actual hiring rate depends on many factors such as prior work experience, education, job responsibilities, location, and work performance.

Sign‑On Bonus

We are pleased to offer a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for the RN Radiation Oncology position. Bonus eligibility is contingent upon meeting all onboarding requirements and maintaining employment in good standing for a minimum of 18 months. If the employee voluntarily terminates employment before the completion of the 18‑month period, the sign‑on bonus must be repaid in full. Additional terms and conditions may apply.

Responsibilities
  • See below for supplementary language regarding specialty specific requirements (e.g., transplant, infusion) as applicable.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
  • Collect and record nursing assessment and interventions.
  • Review and report the results of the health status assessment and physical examination, pertinent laboratory data, radiographic data, and psychosocial assessment of assigned patients to the provider.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
  • Administer all medications/blood products using correct dosage, route, time, and technique.
  • Assure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
  • Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management.
  • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
  • Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
  • Maintain work environment by restocking supplies, following OSHA guidelines when handling cytotoxic agents, biohazardous waste, and any other material potentially infected with a blood‑borne pathogen, maintaining all disinfection protocols, and maintaining equipment according to quality control standards.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care by managing patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line, assisting physicians with exams and procedures, maintaining efficient patient flow in and out of exam rooms, facilitating and scheduling consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments, triaging patient phone calls, coordinating services related to patient care, assisting patients in locating community resources, and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Assist and collaborate with clinical research; act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants; provide nursing coverage for satellite offices as needed.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge of oncology nursing by participating in ongoing educational opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements.
  • 0–3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
