two hospitals and four healthcare centers within short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD
- Respond to emergent calls promptly and courteously.
- Prep walls prior to painting.
- Select and measure quantity of material properly.
- Maintain, repair, and replace damaged walls/floors in patient rooms and common areas.
- Assist refinishing of hospital furniture.
- Maintain essential tools and equipment inventory.
- Paint frame walls, repair and install cove base.
- Demolish plaster walls and ceilings damaged by water and mildew in preparation for repair, leaving site clean and safe.
- Repair sheet rock and perform plastering on damaged areas.
- Determine supplies needed for work and maintain inventory and cleaning tools as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent, 4 years painter’s apprenticeship or 2 years on‑the‑job training experience in wall finishing and floor tile installation.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Weekend work and shift rotation may be required.
Pay rate: $25.17 - $35.23. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
