HII, Mission Technologies is seeking a highly capable RF Spectrum Engineer to support the Navy and Marine Corps Spectrum Center (NMSC). In this role, you will serve as a critical technical advisor to the Department of the Navy (DON), ensuring that spectrum-dependent systems meet all regulatory, operational, and host-nation compliance requirements for global deployment. This position requires a blend of RF engineering knowledge, regulatory policy understanding, and strong coordination skills to safeguard electromagnetic maneuver space for U.S. warfighters.
- Lead the Equipment Spectrum Certification (ESC) process for the testing, acquisition, and fielding of Navy systems.
- Assess RF compatibility, determine spectrum availability, and coordinate with U.S. government agencies and international partners.
- Perform regulatory compatibility analyses in accordance with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) Manual (Redbook).
- Collaborate with Navy Program Offices to gather, validate, and format spectrum-related data for submission through IRAC (ESG, PWG) and MC4EB approval pathways.
- Track, analyze, and report on ESC workflow metrics to identify bottlenecks, improve execution efficiency, and prevent delays in system deployment.
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Ability to conduct ESC analyses and prepare certification packages.
- Experience interpreting and applying NTIA Redbook regulations.
- Comfortable collaborating with various levels of personnel including program managers, system engineers, and external agencies.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, capable of generating detailed technical assessments.
- Ability to manage multiple systems through the ESC process simultaneously.
