Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across all modules and environments
- Ensure 24×7×365 operational readiness and production stability
- Lead technical triage for:
Outages, Performance degradation, Security incidents - Oversee:
Release planning and after-hours deployments, Emergency vs. planned releases, Rollback and post-release validation - Maintain and enforce:
Secure configuration baselines, Logging, monitoring, and alerting - Ensure all technical work complies with:
Agency architecture standards, FISMA High requirements, Section 508 implementation guidance - Maintain technical documentation:
Architecture diagrams, Run books, Data models and dictionaries - Support ATO sustainment activities: POA&Ms, Vulnerability remediation, Annual security assessments
- Bachelor's degree in or equivalent experience
- 15+ years of overall IT experience
- 7+ years in a technical lead or architect role
- Experience supporting enterprise, mission-critical systems
- Experience with:
Oracle databases, Java / JSP enterprise applications, Legacy and incrementally modernized systems, Federal data center environments - Experience supporting FISMA High systems
- Experience with after-hours production releases and operational support
- Eligible for Tier 2 (Moderate Risk Public Trust) investigation
- CISSP or equivalent security certification
