Job Description - Training Specialist (250002MK)

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and coordinate the training and development programs.
  • Deliver training and orientation sessions to employees.
  • Maintain documentation of training activities.
  • Handle registration and training logistics.
  • Prepare and administer competency tests.
Functional Accountabilities
  • Assist in design, development, and coordination of training sessions and competency testing staff.
  • Prepare, assemble, and revise course materials to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain understanding of the business environment (processes, strategy).
  • Conduct training, development, competency testing, and orientation sessions.
  • Assist in evaluating effectiveness of training programs.
  • Develop presentation materials, lead meetings, and facilitate work groups.
  • Maintain training documentation, registration and completion records.
  • Maintain master training calendar; ensure availability of equipment, space, and materials.
  • Handle registration and training logistics.
  • Prepare course advertising materials; coordinate schedule of external/internal training resources.
  • Communicate training setup coordination and ensure supplies available.
  • Speak up about unsafe behavior.
  • Continuously validate and verify information for decision making.
  • Stop when uncertain and resolve.
  • Demonstrate accurate, clear, and timely verbal/written communication.
  • Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors and coworkers.
  • Attend to details; practice Stop, Think, Act, Review.
  • Compile training and development data; recommend program/course modifications based on feedback.
  • Coordinate data collection for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Apply quality management and process improvement principles; use statistical analysis.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field (Required).

Minimum Work Experience
: 2 years of related experience (Required).

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting employee training programs, especially for scheduling and registration systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Office, internet, and CNHS Intranet.
