As a Mental Health Therapist (Virtual), your primary responsibility is to provide quality mental health care to students within our partner school districts. You will interact with school personnel, family members, and other stakeholders to make mental health services accessible for students.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality virtual, evidence‑based counseling and therapeutic interventions to an assigned caseload of K‑12 students.
- Diagnose, conduct initial intake assessments, and create individual treatment plans as needed.
- Conduct clinical screeners and ongoing assessments of student progress.
- Collaborate with the care‑management team to ensure a successful transition into Healthlincs services and identify and support external transition services.
- Obtain credentialing and additional clinical state licenses as requested by the licensing and credentialing departments.
- Participate actively in the clinical team through trainings, meetings, and other activities.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and timely, adhering to established guidelines and requirements.
- Maintain minimum required weekly availability and productivity levels set by Clinical Leadership.
- Provide consultative telehealth crisis support for school partners or students, as assigned.

- Current and unrestricted license to practice independently without supervision.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a school‑based setting or with school‑aged children.
- Acceptable FBI criminal‑background check upon hire.
- Working knowledge of diagnosis, assessment practices, treatment strategies, and interventions for children and their families.
- Telehealth experience preferred.
- Strong technological skills, including learning new software and digital documentation.
- Effective communication with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills using tools and resources to manage and prioritize tasks.
- Proactive verbal and written communication through multiple channels.
- Willingness/ability to gain licensure in other states and to provide services there.
- Private space free from others to ensure confidentiality during virtual counseling.
- Willingness/ability to undergo Healthlincs’ credentialing process.
- Bilingual fluency (Spanish highly desired) is a strong plus.
Moderate degree of mental/visual stress involved. Concentrated periods of time spent using a PC keyboard and viewing a monitor. Will work some weekends, evenings, or early hours to accommodate member needs.
