Job Overview
Holy Cross Health seeks a Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized laboratory procedures, review and approve clinical test results, and support the high‑complexity laboratory operations across Holy Cross Hospital, Holy Cross Germantown Hospital and Holy Cross Health Centers.

Responsibilities- Work with infectious and hazardous substances.
- Perform major and minor instrument troubleshooting.
- Ensure remedial actions are taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
- Monitor testing analyses and specimen examinations to maintain acceptable analytic performance levels.
- Delay reporting of patient test results until all corrective actions are complete and test systems are properly functioning.
- Provide orientation to testing personnel.
- Incorporate Trinity’s mission and goals and the Organization Integrity Plan into daily work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Submit to fingerprinting and FBI criminal history check.
- Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Technology (Medical Technology) or related science, with satisfactory completion of a clinical laboratory educational rotation.
- OR a baccalaureate degree with courses in biological science, chemistry and mathematics and successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technologist program.
- OR a baccalaureate degree with 16 semester hours in biological science (including one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours in chemistry, one semester in mathematics, and one year of full‑time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology or Clinical Microscopy within the last ten years, supervised by a board‑certified pathologist or medical scientist and certified medical technologist.
- Greater than five years of verifiable experience in a Clinical Laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory methodologies, interpretation of results, quality assurance, and CMS regulations.
- Ability to serve as a trainer for new employees.
- Ability to work in harmony with other personnel.
- Good visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
