For over 35 years, Cranial Technologies has provided a superior product, service, and the best possible outcome for every child with cranial asymmetry. We are the leading provider of Head Band Therapy used to treat plagiocephaly in infants.
We are currently looking for a National Traveling Certified Orthotist based out of Silver Spring, MD. This is a full‑time position for someone who wants to practice in a variety of Cranial Technologies locations across the United States.
This is an exciting opportunity to work outside of traditional orthotics in a niche, pediatric clinical outpatient setting exclusively with infants and their families.
Responsibilities- Travel to any state where we have a Cranial Technologies clinic (currently in 32 states and growing).
- Typical schedule:
Travel on Sunday afternoon/evening; work in clinic Monday–Thursday; fly home Thursday afternoon/evening; home Friday and Saturday. - Travel every week, either to a local clinic or to another state; preferred candidates are near a major airport.
- Receive travel expense reimbursement and a per diem for time on site.
- Provide direct patient care, treating infants with DOC Band® and Ear Well® to reshape head and ear shapes.
- Manage treatment plans, build relationships with families, and take over caseloads from other clinicians.
- Work in fast‑paced, new settings, collaborating with new teammates each week.
- Certified Orthotist (Certified Prosthetist‑Orthotist & Certified Orthotist are acceptable).
- Preferred background in pediatrics, but not required; formal training program and mentoring provided.
- Strong knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development (ideal for PTs and OTs).
- Authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship of work visas is not offered.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
- Pay range: $90,000 – $100,000 plus additional travel bonus, dependent on tenure and experience.
