Mental Health Therapist

As a Mental Health Therapist (Virtual), your primary responsibility will be to provide quality mental health care to students within our partner school districts. You will interact and build relationships with school personnel, family members, and other stakeholders working to bring accessible mental healthcare to students.

• Provide virtual, high-quality, evidence-based mental health counseling and therapeutic interventions to an assigned caseload of K-12 students.
• As needed, diagnose, conduct initial mental health intake assessments, and create individual treatment plans according to student needs and circumstances.
• Conduct clinical screeners and ongoing assessments of student progress.
• Collaborate with the care management team to ensure a successful transition into Healthlincs services and identify and support external transition services.
• Obtain credentialing and additional clinical state licenses, as requested by Healthlincs’ licensing and credentialing departments.
• Be an active member of the clinical team by participating in trainings, meetings, and other activities.
• Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established guidelines and requirements.
• Maintain a minimum required weekly availability and productivity levels established by Clinical Leadership.
• May provide consultative telehealth crisis support for school partners or students, as assigned.

• Required:
  
  Current and unrestricted license to practice independently without supervision
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a school-based setting or with school-aged children
• Ability to obtain an acceptable Fingerprint (FBI) Criminal Background Check upon hire
• Working knowledge of diagnosis and assessment practices, treatment strategies, and interventions related to the mental health needs of children and their families
• Telehealth experience preferred
• Strong technological skills, including the ability to learn new software and complete digital documentation
• Effective communication and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong organizational skills with experience using tools and resources to manage and prioritize information and tasks
• Effective and proactive verbal and written communicator across multiple channels
• Willingness/ability to gain licensure in other states, as needed, and provide services in those states
• Have a private space free from interruptions to ensure confidentiality while providing virtual counseling
• Willingness/ability to go through Healthlincs  credentialing process
• Bilingual a strong plus — Spanish fluency highly desired

Moderate degree of mental and visual stress involved. Concentrated periods of time spent using a PC keyboard and viewing a monitor. Will work some weekends, evenings, or early hours to accommodate member needs.
