Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Controller based in Silver Spring, MD. The Controller will oversee financial operations, including managing accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include monitoring budgets, analyzing financial data to support decision‑making, and collaborating with various departments to optimize financial performance. The Controller will develop and implement internal controls while supervising and supporting the accounting team to ensure the accuracy of financial records.

• Strong proficiency in financial reporting, budget management, and preparation of financial statements
• Experience with regulatory compliance, internal controls, and audits
• Proficiency in accounting software and tools, along with an in-depth understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising accounting professionals
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred
• Previous experience as a Controller or in a similar leadership role in accounting or finance
