Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a self-motivated engineer to join our team in the Silver Spring, MD or Fairfax, VA. Position will require working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver wastewater conveyance/treatment projects and water distribution/treatment projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region. - Assisting with delivery of wastewater conveyance and treatment projects including planning, analysis, permitting, and design
- Assisting with delivery of water treatment/distribution projects including planning, analysis, permitting, and design
- Contributing to the development of construction documents and technical specifications.
- Providing construction management support
- Exposure to water and wastewater business development efforts
- Communicating and interacting with clients and internal team members
- Field work and site visits for projects may be required
- B.S. degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering (M.S. degree preferred)
- 0 to 4 years’ experience (internships may count towards experience)
- EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in advanced Microsoft Excel tools (e.g. Power Pivot) or Microsoft Power
BI are favorable - Excellent writing, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
