AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Water Resource Project Engineer to join our Transportation Business Line to be based in Hunt Valley, Maryland or Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will work directly with our staff and clients to deliver stormwater and erosion and sediment control permitting. Role responsibilities include stormwater design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, and highway drainage design.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, prepare or review detailed design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, permit applications, construction drawings and specifications.
- Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, assist with annual performance evaluations, support the professional development of junior engineers, assist with reporting project status and responsible to deliver elements of design within the project schedule and budget.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers.
- Utilize modeling software applications for efficient design and coordination.
- Enhance client relationships as it pertains to our water resource capabilities.
- May assist with staffing and business development.
- Mentor engineers and designers within the group.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 4 years of related water resource experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience with water resource design software (Microstation, Hydro
CAD and/or TR-20, TR-55, Flowmaster and/or Hydraulic Toolbox, HY-8) or similar applications.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Experience with MDOT SHA, MDE, and Maryland Counties.
- Experience with presentations and technical documentation.
- 6 years of relevant water resource engineering experience.
