Responsibilities: Under the direction of the principal, plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students, fostering intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. Supervise students in various school settings, monitor and evaluate outcomes, and communicate with students, parents, staff, and community. Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet all student needs. Maintain records and follow required procedures. Monitor the appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.

Physical demands: as required by duties. Special requirements: attendance at meetings, programs, and activities outside instructional days as mandated by MCEA contract.

Salary: $64,591 to $131,472 (salary based on education and experience).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, MCPS policies, and effective instructional practices. Understanding of the teaching/learning process. Ability to provide instruction reflecting multiple perspectives and multicultural education. Ability to integrate technology into the curriculum. Ability to work with administrators, colleagues, central office staff, students, parents, and community. Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

Education, Training,

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in applicable field of education from an accredited college or university

Bindable required. Foundation office programs:
Secondary school diploma with at least five years of full-time industry experience in the discipline to be taught within the last 10 years, or a bachelor’s degree in education with demonstrated industry experience is required. Industry licensures and/or certifications preferred. Certificate or license that meets Maryland state certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
