Job Summary
We are seeking experienced ESG Reporting & Compliance Specialists for project-based consulting engagements. This flexible opportunity allows you to collaborate on high-impact regulatory reporting and sustainability disclosure projects while building your consulting practice through association with our brand and thought leadership initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce investor-grade sustainability reports aligned with GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP frameworks
- Navigate complex regulatory requirements including SEC Climate Disclosures, EU CSRD, and UK SECR compliance
- Design integrated and annual reports that fuse financial and ESG performance into cohesive narratives
- Coordinate third-party assurance processes to enhance report credibility and stakeholder trust
- Develop emissions disclosure strategies and carbon roadmaps supporting net-zero commitments
- Create interactive dashboards and digital reporting tools for real-time ESG performance monitoring
- Execute double materiality assessments aligned with evolving regulatory standards
- Provide regulatory expertise and strategic guidance to client leadership teams
- Contribute to thought leadership content and client-facing materials (optional)
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in ESG reporting, sustainability disclosures, or regulatory compliance
- Expert knowledge of major ESG frameworks: GRI Standards, SASB Standards, TCFD recommendations
- Proven experience with regulatory compliance: SEC Climate Rules, EU CSRD, TCFD implementation
- Strong technical writing skills with ability to transform complex data into compelling narratives
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Communications, or related field
- Experience coordinating assurance processes with third-party verification providers
- Project management expertise with ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills for investor, regulator, and executive audiences
- Detail-oriented approach with commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications: GRI Certified Professional, SASB Fundamentals, or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Advanced degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or Business Administration
- Experience with integrated reporting and annual report development
- Knowledge of emerging regulations:
California Climate Disclosure laws, EU Taxonomy - Background in financial reporting, audit, or assurance services
- Expertise in ESG data management platforms and reporting software
- Industry experience in publicly traded companies or regulated sectors
- Multilingual capabilities for international reporting requirements
