Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager
A private family office with a real estate investment portfolio is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee operational and entity-level accounting functions. Property-level accounting is fully outsourced, so this role focuses on financial oversight, cash management, reporting, and coordination across multiple entities.
This is a high-trust position supporting ownership directly. The client is looking for a self-starter who operates independently, exercises strong judgment, and understands the discretion required in a family office environment.
Key Responsibilities Operational & Entity-Level Accounting- Maintain general ledger and financial records in Quick Books
- Manage accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions
- Review financial reports prepared by outsourced property accountants
- Consolidate financial data and prepare internal reporting packages
- Produce monthly and quarterly financial statements for ownership
- Monitor cash balances across entities and banking relationships
- Oversee accounts payable and payment processing
- Assist with capital calls, distributions, and liquidity planning
- Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Work directly with ownership to provide customized reporting and analysis
- Coordinate with third-party accounting firms and external CPA
- Ensure accurate and timely year-end close and tax support
- Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation
- Strengthen internal accounting processes and controls
- Ensure financial accuracy, organization, and compliance
- Handle sensitive financial information with strict confidentiality
- 5+ years of accounting experience (real estate or multi-entity experience preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books (required)
- Experience with entity-level accounting and financial consolidations
- Solid understanding of cash management and financial reporting
- Ability to review and analyze third-party financial statements
- High integrity and discretion; prior family office or closely held business experience is a plus
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and highly organized
- Base salary range: $90,000 – $130,000
