Staff Accountant

Salary: $70,000–$80,000

A well-established construction company in the Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This opening represents a true long-term opportunity within a stable, process-driven environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
• 1-3 years of accounting experience (or strong internship experience).
• Solid understanding of debits, credits, and accounting fundamentals.
• Construction or manufacturing accounting exposure is a plus.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Apply cash receipts and support AR functions.
• Assist with billing for the manufacturing entity.
• Support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization and depreciation.
• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.
• Support month-end close and general ledger activities.
• Work closely with the Controller and Senior Staff Accountant on daily accounting operations.
