Job Details:

• Work night shifts in the emergency department

• No on-call requirements for travelers

• Maintain 4:1 patient ratio for all shifts (days, nights, and weekends)

• 24 hours of orientation provided

• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Work in 13-bed emergency department with daily census of 40-50 patients

• Must have current New Mexico or multi-state Registered Nurse license

• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)

• Preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, TNCC

• Emergency and/or critical care experience preferred

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Community hospital experience preferred

• Experience with Meditech charting system required

• Must be comfortable with comprehensive emergency care including trauma, cardiac care, respiratory management, psychiatric patients, and procedural sedation

• Smoke/nicotine free campus policy

• Keep time off requests to minimum, expect to work some holidays

• Travelers within 70 miles of Silver City, NM not accepted

• Previous permanent employees within last 2 years not eligible
