Teacher Education-Assistant Professor

Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning for Education courses.

• Teach a 12-credit course load (undergraduate and graduate level) in K-12 Education theory and practice, supporting active engagement and learning in online, video‑conference, face‑to‑face, and hybrid formats.
• Supervise clinical experiences, face‑to‑face and/or virtually as needed.
• Develop syllabi, maintain materials, and supplies for the classes assigned.
• Advise students in all associates-, bachelors-, and masters‑level programs in Elementary and Secondary Education.
• Collaborate with colleagues in teacher education curriculum development.
• Collaborate with partner schools and districts.
• Assist with CAEP accreditation.
• Conduct research program or other scholarship activities suitable to a small, teaching university that accommodates the inclusion of undergraduate students.
• Provide professional contributions within areas of expertise as appropriate.
• Participate in departmental and University committees and special projects.
• Participate in the process of ongoing personal and professional development.

Requires a Master’s degree in education or a closely related field.
