Position: Utility Class 2- SAN-Wet Days (A-Shift)

Utility Class 2 - SAN-Wet Days (A-Shift) (Finance)

Schedule: Sun-Tue 6am-6pm, Wed 6am-12pm

Purpose of the Position: To be skilled in various jobs on the line, department, or facility to assist the supervisor or lead when needed. This includes tasks like breaking down large boxes, inspecting products, sanitation duties, and raking raw meat into freezers.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform various jobs on the line, adapting quickly to new positions and situations in all areas, and achieve established production levels.

Assist in training new employees on dress code, safety, job assignments, sanitation procedures, and policies.

Participate as a team member, supporting communication, development, and implementation of team policies and practices.

Attend team meetings and foster cohesiveness regarding company issues like direction, plans, budgets, and policies.

Identify and address areas lacking cohesiveness, working supportively with team leaders to resolve issues and achieve synergy.

Support Simmons' operating systems principles and objectives, maintaining familiarity with quality, security, environment, and company policies.

Perform other duties supporting business objectives as needed.

Physical Activities: Bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, working on feet all day, working in extreme temperatures (below 40°F and above 100°F), noisy environment.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Use hair net, ear plugs, and other protective gear as required.

Travel: Not applicable.

Technical/Industry Experience: Preference for Food Processing Industry.

Minimum Education: Read, write, and perform basic math.

Preferred Education: High School Diploma or GED.
